Civilian Award For Humanitarian Service Medal Ribbon

The Humanitarian Service Award is granted by the Department of the Army to individuals who have demonstrated meritorious hands-on involvement in a humanitarian act or operation. Approval can be given by commanders at the major Army command level or higher, following the Secretary of Defense's designation of the operation or act as humanitarian.
