
Basic Air Force Transportation Badges
The United States Basic Air Force Transportation Badge symbolizes a service member's proficiency and commitment to the Air Force's transportation career field. This badge is awarded based on training completion and is an important part of recognizing service members’ contributions to logistics operations that support the Air Force mission.

General Officers: Wear the basic badge upon entering a headquarters staff or command position. If not previously qualified for a higher-level badge, they wear the basic badge and can upgrade to the next higher-level badge after 12 months, continuing to upgrade every 12 months thereafter.

Officers: Earn the basic badge after graduating from technical school or attaining a fully qualified Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC). They wear the senior badge after 7 years in the specialty and the master badge after 15 years in the specialty.

Enlisted Members: Are awarded the basic badge after completing technical school. They wear the senior badge after achieving the 7-skill level and qualify for the master badge as a Master Sergeant or above with 5 years of experience in the specialty after reaching the 7-skill level.
This badge serves as a recognition of accomplishment in transportation operations, reflecting a member’s growth, training, and expertise within the Air Force.
