Army Valorous Unit Citation Award Ribbon
The Army Valorous Unit Citation (VUA) is presented to United States Army units that demonstrate "extraordinary heroism in action against an armed enemy of the United States of America." Established in 1966, the award can recognize actions dating back to August 3rd, 1963. Ranking as the second-highest unit award in the U.S. Army, it is regarded as the unit equivalent of a Silver Star Medal.
