Army Overseas Service Ribbon

The United States Army awards the Overseas Service Ribbon (OSR) to individuals upon completing a standard overseas tour. Introduced in 1981, the ribbon signifies additional awards through the presence of a bronze numeral on the service ribbon. The eligibility for the Overseas Service Ribbon can extend retroactively before 1981, provided the service member was still on active duty when the ribbon was established.
