Army Expert Infantry Badge

United States Army Expert Infantry Badge (EIB)

Awarded to U.S. Army personnel in infantry or special forces roles after successfully completing a rigorous testing phase, which involves weeks of training and culminates in a final evaluation. The test is administered annually, with a pass rate often below 50%.

Personnel who hold both the EIB and CIB cannot wear both simultaneously, with the CIB taking precedence according to AR 670-1.
