Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal Ribbon
The Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (ARMS) is conferred upon Air Force Reservists in recognition of commendable conduct, efficiency, and reliability demonstrated over three years of enlisted and active service. Additional accolades of the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal are indicated by oak leaf clusters. Originally established in 1964 as the "Air Force Reserve Ribbon," it transitioned into a full-sized medal with its current name in 1971. Initially granted to personnel with four years of distinguished reserve service between 1965 and 1974, the eligibility period was subsequently reduced to three years in 1975.
