Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Full Size Medal
The Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (ARMS) is awarded to Air Force Reservists for commendable conduct, efficiency, and reliability demonstrated over three years of enlisted and active service. Oak leaf clusters signify additional awards of the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal. Originally established in 1964 as the "Air Force Reserve Ribbon," it transitioned into a full-sized medal with its current name in 1971. Initially granted for four years of distinguished reserve service from 1965 to 1974, the time requirement was later reduced to three years in 1975.
