Air Reserve Meritorious Service Anodized Mini Medal
The Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (ARMS) is bestowed upon Air Force Reservists for commendable conduct, efficiency, and reliability demonstrated during three years of enlisted and active service. Additional recognitions of the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal are indicated by oak leaf clusters. Initially established in 1964 as the "Air Force Reserve Ribbon," it transitioned into a full-sized medal with its current name in 1971. Initially granted for four years of distinguished reserve service between 1965 and 1974, the eligibility requirement was later reduced to three years in 1975.
