Air Reserve Meritorious Service Full Size Anodized Medal
The Air Reserve Meritorious Service Medal (ARMS) is awarded to Air Force Reservists for commendable conduct, efficiency, and reliability during three years of enlisted and active service. Additional recognitions of the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal are indicated by oak leaf clusters. Originally established in 1964 as the "Air Force Reserve Ribbon," the decoration transitioned into a full-sized medal with its current name in 1971. Initially granted to personnel with four years of distinguished reserve service from 1965 to 1974, the eligibility period was later reduced to three years in 1975.
