Air Force Organizational Excellence Award

The Air Force Organizational Excellence Award (AFOEA) is given to internal units within larger Air Force organizations. Positioned as the lowest-ranking Air Force unit award, it acknowledges excellence in smaller units like numbered wings, groups, or squadrons. Additional recognitions are indicated by attaching an Oak Leaf Cluster device to the service ribbon. In certain circumstances, a Valor or "V" device is also authorized.
