Air Force Achievement Mini Medal

The Air Force Achievement Medal (AFAM) is bestowed upon junior Air Force personnel (O-4 and below, enlisted E-7 and below) for outstanding achievements or meritorious service that doesn't warrant the Commendation medal. Local commanders have the authority to grant the AFAM, recognizing non-combat meritorious service, especially for those ineligible for higher commendations like the Commendation medal or Meritorious Service Medal.
