997th Brigade Support Battalion Unit Crest (We Prepare the Way)

The distinctive unit insignia (DUI) displayed belongs to the 997th Brigade Support Battalion (997th BSB). Initially approved in 1955, it was later redesignated for various units before becoming the 997th Support Battalion. Affiliated with the Kansas Army National Guard (KS ARNG), their motto is "We Prepare the Way." These unit crests are worn on both the Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Class A Uniform (Greens).
