73rd Cavalry Regiment Unit Crest (Honor, Fidelity, Courage)

Unit Crests, officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are exclusive to each U.S. Army unit. Although commonly called "Unit Crests," their design is derived from the unit's authorized coat of arms. All assigned personnel, excluding certain high-ranking officers, wear the insignia. Enlisted personnel affix the crests to the green service uniform's shoulder loops, centered equidistant from the outside shoulder seam to the button's outer edge, with the base toward the outside shoulder seam. Enlisted personnel aren't allowed to wear the unit crest on the Class A uniform. Officers center the unit crest on the shoulder loops, equidistant from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the button's outside edge, with the base toward the outside shoulder seam.
