5th Personnel Services Battalion Unit Crest (The Best Serving The Best)
Distinctive Unit Insignia, commonly referred to as "Unit Crests," are unique to each U.S. Army unit. These insignias are officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia and are crafted based on the authorized coat of arms for a particular unit. All personnel assigned to the organization, excluding general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, wear these insignias. Enlisted personnel adorn the unit crests on the green service uniform coat, positioning them at the center of the shoulder loops equidistant from the outside shoulder seam to the button's outer edge, with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam. It's important to note that enlisted personnel are not permitted to wear the unit crest on the Class A uniform. Officers, on the other hand, wear the unit crest centered on the shoulder loops, positioned equidistant from the inside edge of their grade insignia to the outside edge of the button, with the base of the insignia toward the outside shoulder seam.
