5th Infantry Regiment Unit Crest (I'll Try Sir) 

Distinctive Unit Insignia, also known as "Unit Crests," are unique to each U.S. Army unit, derived from authorized coat of arms designs. All personnel wear these insignias, except for general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted personnel place unit crests on the green service uniform coat, centered on shoulder loops. However, wearing them on the Class A uniform is not authorized for enlisted personnel. Officers wear the unit crest centered on shoulder loops, with the base oriented toward the outside shoulder seam
