49th Medical Battalion Unit Crest (Perseverance Prevails)

Unit Crests, officially called Distinctive Unit Insignia, are unique to each U.S. Army unit and are commonly known as "Unit Crests." The design is derived from the authorized coat of arms. All personnel within the unit wear the insignia, excluding high-ranking officials. Enlisted personnel wear it on the green service uniform coat, centered on the shoulder loops. However, it is not authorized on the Class A uniform for enlisted personnel. Officers wear the unit crest centered on the shoulder loops, maintaining specific positioning relative to their grade insignia and the button.
