49th ADA (Air Defense Artillery) Group Unit Crest (Alert and Adroit)

Unit Crests, officially known as Distinctive Unit Insignia, are unique to each U.S. Army unit. Derived from the authorized coat of arms, all assigned personnel wear these insignias, excluding high-ranking officials. Enlisted personnel center unit crests on the green service uniform coat's shoulder loops, while officers follow specific guidelines for placement on their shoulder loops. Notably, enlisted individuals are not authorized to wear the unit crest on the Class A uniform. Officers wear the unit crest centered on the shoulder loops, maintaining an equal distance from their grade insignia.
