3rd Army Unit Crest (Semper Prima Tertia)

This emblem represents the distinctive unit insignia for the 3rd Army, also known as Army Central, headquartered at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter County, SC. The unit is affectionately nicknamed "Patton's Own" in honor of General George Patton, who commanded during WWII. Unit crests, such as this one, are worn on the Army's Dress Blue (ASU) uniform.
