30th Infantry Regiment Unit Crest (Our Country, Not Ourselves)
Unit Crests, officially termed Distinctive Unit Insignia, are exclusive emblems for each U.S. Army unit, commonly called "Unit Crests" by Soldiers. The design is derived from the authorized coat of arms. All assigned personnel wear the insignia, excluding general officers, the Sergeant Major of the Army, and the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman. Enlisted personnel position unit crests on the green service uniform coat, centered on the shoulder loops. They are not authorized for wear on the Class A uniform. Officers wear the unit crest similarly, centered on the shoulder loops, aligned with their grade insignia.
