27th Support Battalion Unit Crest (Ex Animo)

The distinctive unit insignias (DUI) are proudly worn by the 27th Support Battalion, affectionately known as the "Rough Riders." Their motto, "Ex Animo," translates to "Willingly." Approved for wear in 1954, this unit crest finds its home at Fort Bliss, TX. Unit crests are a distinctive feature on both the Army Class A Uniform (Greens) and the Army Service Uniform (ASU).
