23rd Infantry Division Class A Full Color Patch

This is the shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) proudly worn by the 23rd Infantry Division, which is also affectionately known as the American Division. The SSI features four stars, symbolizing the Southern Cross constellation under which the division served. The colors blue and white on the patch symbolize the Infantry. Initially approved for the American Division in 1943, it was subsequently redesignated for the 23rd Infantry Division in 1954. This patch measures 2-1/2" in height and 2" in width, designed to be worn on the Army Service Green Uniform and available for individual purchase.
