21st Signal Brigade Unit Crest (Edge of the Sword)

These distinctive unit insignia (DUI) are worn by the 21st Signal Brigade. Their motto is "Edge of the Sword." The colors white and orange represent the Signal Corps. Based at Fort Detrick, Maryland, the 21st Signal Brigade initially received approval for its DUI in 1968 as the 21st Signal Group. Later in 2003, it was redesignated for the 21st Signal Brigade. Unit crests are worn on the Army Class A Service Green and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
