199th Infantry Regiment Unit Crest (Nous Sommes Pret)

The distinctive unit insignia (DUI) worn by the 199th Regiment features the motto "Nous Sommes Pret," translating to "We Are Ready." Originally approved for the 199th Infantry Regiment in 1952, it was later redesignated for the 199th Regiment in 1997. These DUIs are worn by the Louisiana Army National Guard (LA ARNG) on both the Army Class A Uniform (Greens) and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
