197th Fires Brigade Unit Crest (Live Free or Die)

The 197th Fires Brigade proudly displays distinctive unit insignia (DUI) bearing the motto "Live Free or Die." Scarlet and yellow hues symbolize Artillery. Originally approved for the 197th Artillery Group in 1971, it was redesignated in 2008 for the 197th Fires Brigade. Unit crests are worn on both the Army Class A Service Green and Army Service Uniform (ASU).
