Unit Crests, also called Distinctive Unit Insignia, are unique emblems representing U.S. Army units, derived from their authorized coat of arms. They're worn by all personnel except high-ranking officers, positioned on the shoulder loops of the green service uniform coat for enlisted members and on uniform jackets for officers.
