171st Infantry Brigade Unit Crest Unit Crest (No Motto)

Unit Crests, alternatively called Distinctive Unit Insignia, are unique emblems representing U.S. Army units, originating from their coat of arms. All unit members wear these insignias, except high-ranking officers. Enlisted personnel attach the crest to the shoulder loops of the green service uniform coat, while officers affix them to their uniform jackets.
