169th Infantry Unit Crest (Armis Stant Leges)
The distinctive unit insignia (DUI) worn by the 169th Regiment, CT Army National Guard, features the motto "Armis Stant Leges," meaning "Laws Are Maintained By Force Of Arms." Originally approved for wear in 1927 for the 169th Infantry Regiment, it was redesignated in 1997. Unit crests are worn on the Army Service Uniform (ASU) and Army Class A Uniform (Greens).
