169th Aviation Regiment Unit Crest (Gravissima Levans)

Initially sanctioned for wear by the 169th Aviation Regiment in 1989, these distinctive unit insignia (DUI), or Unit Crests, bear the motto "Gravissima Levans," translating to "Lifting the Heaviest Things." They are worn by the Connecticut Army National Guard on the blue Army Service Uniform (ASU) or Army Class A Uniform (Greens).
