Air Force Astronaut Badge

The Astronaut Badge is awarded to USAF rated officers who are qualified to perform duties in space (50 miles or more above Earth) and have completed at least one operational space mission.

Key Features:

• Specialty Design: Features the astronaut symbol (shooting star) superimposed over the officer’s specialty wing, such as Pilot, Navigator, or Flight Surgeon.
• Award Criteria: Given to officers who have successfully completed one operational space mission.
• Badge Requirements: Follows the same requirements as the Senior and Command pilot badges.
